Ringtone Creator is freeware, with the hefty price tag of $5.99 if you want to get rid of a short nag screen and obtain premium support. Folks, this is so inexpensive that if you keep this program and do not register it, you should be ashamed of yourself. Especially if you then spend $2.99 to download a ringtone elsewhere. Do that twice and you may be 90% satisfied with the results and be content with that. But you will have spent more money than you would with this program, and with Ringtone Creator, if you are not 100% satisfied with your ringtone, you need only look to yourself as the creator of said ringtone.

We might end up having to keep saving that one ringer from the MMS to "my sounds", changing it's name to the file you want and then overwriting that file with another through BitPim. I believe that's what they have to do with the a950. Tell me if that works and i'll update the instructions. Sorry that my original method didn't work for you guys. I'm trying to remember if I did anything else before i copied my ringers over. I can't really do much tinkering tonight, because I have to study for an exam tommorow.
All you have to do is rename .mp3 to .mid. To see the file extensions go to Tools --> Folder Options --> View --> and then uncheck Hide Extensions for Known File Types. Once that's done you can see the file extensions and just rename the file from xxxx.mp3 to xxxxx.mid.
I used that program tonethis (even though i didn't have to) and it worked fine...the software helps alot in that you can select the part of the song you want...how much is it costing me to send the ringtones though? the size of the one i sent was 192kb.

Every ringtons you send should count towards a pix/flix message which is $.25 each. Anyway, there is still no reason to get this tonethis program, as straight into Windows theres already an included sound editor and many better free ones available. Also for a ringtone, I don't really think it is necessary to format it at 192kbps, since it is only a short clip.
Wow, after looking at this program and the screenshot, I remember taking a look at this program a few months back. I didn't download it though. Why? ToneThis must have recently became a free program, a little while back they were charging lie $17.99 or something for it, I guess it wasn't selling well. Well thanks, I'll try it out later.
Its only worked for me one song at a time any more and it will stop displaying some of the songs you have already loaded and it might do this any way so recheck that you have all the songs you wanted when ur done if you dont in bitpim delete the song and repeat the process
You dont detect the fone becuase it is not actually suported by bitpim u have to go into settings and set it to other cdma then select the port its connected to if u dont see the fone listed under avilbe com ports try turning the fone of and the on again well connected to the usb then reopen bitpim and check for it under sieral port again if u still cant find it then let us know
