Quick science lesson. EV-DO data speeds drop with distance. Sprint uses 1900MHz while Verizon uses 800MHz. 1900MHz needs more towers to cover an given area. That is why Sprint has been tested at having faster network speeds for both of their network technologys. Take into effect that Sprint offers more EV-DO related content then Verizon. This gives Sprint an advantage in this area. Like other people here have mentioned, Sprint also has better prices for their EV-DO plan options.
I love it!!! I'm drooling over my new blade right now actually... my twin got one too!! Lots of my friends complain about their razors being too light but this one has such a good weight to it!! I don't feel like im going to break it.. and it's so nice looking! Let's see, the radio sounds amazing, powervision is amazing, the screen is huge so it's great for watching tv... I haven't figured out everything to it yet but I can download movies and mp3s... =)
Brandon- Ive been using QT Pro and iTunes. The only problem with iTunes is that if your not careful you WILL overwirte your good quality MP3s, so make a copy and use the copy version and not the original. But you can use any program that can make / recompress MP3s, I think Winamp can do it too.
DJfanatik- the battery life does suck a bit if your using the multimedia features, ie. media player, games etc..., but also you can add a bit more life your battery if you turn off the gps location thingy, SETTINGS > OTHER > LOCATION. if you turn that off you can add about an 30-45 minutes talk and like 2hours standby. That location thing is a battery eater. and i dont see and 'hard drive' on the samsung site....
Bugs come with the territory of new technology, but this seems like a desinged block, not a bug. and fixing it isn't a ground-breaking feature and is not complicated. but not to worry. if Samsung doesn't fix it, it won't be long till you can pay a chinatown baller $10 to change out a chip or two. Samsung should just be proactive and avoid all that.
Ok hey again i figured out how to do all that crap with the usb cable. but now i need to know if there is a way to program new words to my t9 text messaging mode. Cuz sometimes it doesnt know a word and i have to go to the manual mode to do it and then on my voice mode it doesnt know alot of words and when i was recording them i was eating lol so i dont think its going to work. is there ne way i can re-do my voice mode set up? Kk thanxz <33 ~DJ
Nope... samsung didnt see fit to add this as a feature.... use one of the many free upload sites... since ringers cant be longer than 30secs, in my eyes there would be no point to have an mp3 as your ringer... 1. its to long, 2. the song would start from the beginning, 3. the song would have to load(about 2 seconds) before it started ringing...
Jack- Did you CONNECT TO PC from my steps above? When you connect to a mac, the Mac OS will automatically mount it but you wont be able to copy anything. Try using CONNECT TO PC, if that doesnt work, then you might have to use a friends PC, or let me figure it out when I get home since i use a mac too. If you deleted a folder by accident. I listed in the exact spelling and case of all the folders above.
DJ: This is a bit late but hopefully you find it. You can reset the voice mode training by going into the voice service settings (either via the settings menu or via the settings key when in the voice dialing application) and there's a VoiceMode menu that contains a reset option. Also if it recognizes a word incorrectly highlight the word and press 0. Choose the right word from the list or choose spell word and type in the word if its not on the list. VoiceMode will learn when you do this. After correcting all the words in about 10 messages it works almost flawlessly for me now.
Thanks kenny .. i was searching around for more answers and i learned that my curren OS (tiger) locks up the folder from the computers side and no one really knows why. apparently it works fine on panther though .. so it looks like im gonna have to use a windows machine .. thanks for your help though.

This site is freakin' awesome. I make my own ringtones with a software program I have. Well I made some for my buddy who's got the A900. We thought we could just import them with USB cable but, we didn't know about Sprint's crappy ass proprietary software that will not let you do that.
I have a Samsung a900 and a Palm T/x. having difficulty using the SMS from the palm through the a900, I am able to pair both devices but cant use the dialer and the sms feature from the palm. Since I am on it can the a900 be used as a modem for the Palm T/x.On the palm site there are no Samsung drivers for palm. Can someone help
I can't figure out how to transfer a photo from my a900 to my computer via bluetooth. Can this be done? I choose the photo I want to send and choose 'send' from the options. I then choose bluetooth and it tries to search for my computer but it never finds it...even when my computer is set to receive a file. Please help if you've mastered this.
