Yeah there have been three RAZR v3c firmwares from verizon. .02 had OBEX (although this was not advertized), .03 removed it completely (not just diabled but removed), and .04 supports it again. They have also slightly sped up the sluggish/ugly Verizon UI (the main point).
Could you please post a link to something like this? I've had a v710 for quite some time now (actually, on my 2nd one) and would love to hear about this case, since much of the reason I bought the v710 for was negated by the fact the Verizon disabled many of the features...
Yeah, we need a link. I can be considered among the angry V710 users. One of the large reasons I picked the V710 was because I was lead to believe I could use bluetooth to transfer pics & music. When I figured out I had to pay 10 cents for every transfer, I was ticked.

I’m afraid you might be overstating the case just a bit. Reports at Howard Forums suggest that if you upgrade to the .04 firmware from the .02 firmware, that OBEX remains enabled; HOWEVER, if you upgrade to the .04 firmware from the .03 firmware, OBEX does not work. Since VZW removed (not just disabled, but actually removed) the OBEX code from the firmware in the .03 version, the working theory is that the reason for this distinction in the functionality of OBEX between users who upgrade from .02 and those who upgrade from .03 is that .04 simply doesn’t say anything AT ALL about OBEX. That is, THE.04 VERSION DOES NOT RE-ENABLE OBEX, it just doesn’t affirmatively disable it; so, if you are updating from .02 (which had OBEX accidentally enabled) to .04, OBEX is still there; but if you are updating from .03 (which had OBEX removed from the code), OBEX is not there.
This happens about 4 or five times, do the same each time (same directory - it will chose the right drivers), after RSD Lite will show a bunch of info in line #1. When this happens your all set. If it doesnt - re-run drive tools, reboot and start again. (took me 2 tries) - the drivers can be finicky.
Depending on what resources you have available to you via the web, you have the options of enabling OBEX. The 42 for .04 listed above or using this one, which is the downgrade to .02 then reinstalling .04. Again, upgrading from .02 to .04, OBEX

I got my RAZR last year for Christmas and have already gone through a ton of chargers. Does anyone know of any common problems with the RAZR charger or have any suggestions on a certain type of charger or any advice at all, I would really appreciate it.
Here in Pakistan razr v3 is sold in black colour and key pad not pure black but matching is available in quad band mean can work and canada also, price has dropped to us $150 from $300, advance model like v3i and v3x are target in these days while L7 is about $160 and L6 is about $90.
Man I found the black razr with black keypad. It took over 12 hours but it in Paris, France. I am negotiating as to cost of purchasing it! It hard to type the words because they do not able to read English in the normal fashion. I have download a currency conversion progam and it makes it much easier to talk price. I going for $325 plus shipping expenses which are $35. So all in all; it will be $360.00 U.S. dollars!
